Trend hairstyle of the season: baby braids

The name already gives it away: baby braids are plaited plaits that are simple to braid, but still, make an impression. Because while most other braids only come into their own from behind or from the side, the new trend hairstyle catches the eye. The braids are braided very thinly along the face. So a great alternative for everyone who has wanted to try the money piece hair trend for a long time, but just didn't dare to use highlights and bleaching cream. You can still be sure of 90s vibes with the baby braids. In addition, the braids with their slightly playful look bring a little lightheartedness to everyday life.

This is how easy it is to style baby braids

As already mentioned: Baby Braids can really be imitated by anyone. They are also incredibly practical because they prevent your hair from constantly falling on your face. In addition, they can wonderfully conceal a slightly greasy approach. Simply separate two strands about three centimeters wide – and off you go:

  1. The best thing to do first is to part in the middle.
  2. Then take off two even strands of hair from each side on the front of the head.
  3. You can fix the rest of your hair with a hair tie during styling so that it doesn't bother you.
  4. Now you braid two classic braids by dividing the two strands into three equal parts and always putting the outer strand over the middle one. You repeat this until you reach the ends.
  5. Last step: fix the ends! You can do this with a thin hair tie or you can do it without the tool, backcomb the ends of the braids, fix them with hairspray and you're done!

By the way: the tighter you braid, the more distinctive the look. If you like it a little more casual, it is best not to use a thin hair tie, but let the braided strands spread out a little at the bottom so that they merge with the rest of the hair. We also recommend women with fine, straight hair apply some structure spray to the lengths beforehand or backcomb them very slightly. And of course, the baby braids also work brilliantly with trendy bun hairstyles or with a ponytail.

Who do baby braids look best on?

And the good news continues! Because it's really no exaggeration to say: baby braids really suit everyone. They flatter the face, make it look younger and slimmer, and also go with just about any hair structure. Women with curly hair or natural waves even have a small hair advantage – the braided pigtails look particularly cool on them.

If you don't feel like braiding, you can just take thin hair ties and conjure up bubble hair. Simply loosen up the hair between the elastics so that small "bubbles" form. It's even quicker if you use small, round hair clips that you probably remember from your childhood. Especially now in summer, a great play, but somehow also cool look is created.
