How to make them overnight?
Want soft waves in your hair that are done but don't look like it? It works - and it's very easy. We'll tell you how to get beautiful beach waves overnight.
Beach waves are the casual twist on curls and look like you've spent the whole day at the beach. The delicate waves are super easy to make and are a trendy hairstyle for many women, especially in spring and summer. Because, unlike big curls, they look a lot more natural, but still give the hair a certain sophistication.
We show you three different ways to go from straight hair to casual beach waves overnight. And best of all: All three work without any heat!
There are several ways to style beach waves, but the easiest and most gentle method is to create the hairstyle overnight. You don't need a styling tool or heat for this, just a few minutes and a hair tie or bobby pins.
Anyone who has always wanted casual beach waves can use this method to optimally prepare their hair in the evening so that they can wake up perfectly styled the next morning. All you need is a mousse, hair clips, and about ten minutes of your time.
How it works:
Tip: Instead of normal hair ties made of fabric, you can also use Invisibobbles when twisting your hair. These are not only healthier for the hair, but also do not leave unsightly kinks in the hair the next morning.
Another popular way to style beach waves overnight is with the help of a headband. You put this on before going to bed and wrap narrow, slightly damp strands one by one around the band until all the hair has been used. The tighter you wrap the sections of hair around the hair accessory, the more defined the curls will be the next morning. So that everything stays in place overnight, you can fix the whole thing with a couple of bobby pins - done!
In the morning you then carefully loosen the delicate curls from the hair band and comb through the gentle waves with your fingers or a wide-toothed comb. Finally, apply some hairspray and you can start the day with beautiful beach waves.
Braided hairstyles not only look great but also have the advantage that they automatically make the hair wavy after a few hours. This variant is therefore ideal for creating beachy waves in your hair overnight. All you have to do is braid one or more pigtails and go to sleep with them.
The next day you can simply unbraid the braided strands of hair and gently brush them with a wide-toothed comb. And finally: You already have fantastic waves.
Tip: To keep the curls longer, you can slightly dampen the hair before braiding and fix it with hairspray in the morning.
Sometimes we just don't have time to wait all night for that summery curly look. And luckily we don't have to! Because there are methods that conjure up the light waves in the hair immediately. We present three of them:
Special beach wave and salt water sprays are no longer a rarity on the shelves of drugstores and are the ideal styling product for women who already have naturally wavy hair.
With the spray, you can recreate the perfect beach look in your bathroom at home in no time at all. The best way to do this is to spray the salt water spray into your still damp hair right after the shower, knead it vigorously and then let it air dry - just like you would on the beach. If you need to be quick in the morning, you can use a hair dryer to help out if necessary. The look is done!
The most obvious way to conjure up waves quickly and easily is with a curling iron. However, it is important to use the right technique for this. If the heat is too long, it can happen that we end up with large curls instead of light beach waves. To prevent this, you should therefore proceed as follows with the curling iron for the beach look:
Tip: To create a particularly natural look, we recommend using a thick curling iron.
Hardly any other styling device can be used as flexibly as a straightening iron. Not only can it be used to straighten your hair, but it is also ideal for conjuring up quick beach waves.
We explain step-by-step how you can skillfully create waves with it:
