As temperatures rise, there's also a haircut that's gaining popularity in salons that flatters every face shape: the baby wave bob.
The hotter the days get, the shorter our hair should be. After all, you don't want to walk around in the summer with a heavy, long mane that makes you sweat. What hairstyle could be better than the bob? As the trendiest haircut of the last two years, it will not disappear even in the hot season - quite the contrary: in addition to the shaggy lob or the 70s bob, a new variation is becoming a salon star, especially during the heat wave: the baby wave -Bob.
"The baby wave bob is the ideal style for those who want a slight wave or curl in their hair but don't have time for it in the morning," explains Issey Cooke, hairstylist at Larry King. It's a super relaxed look that's so effortless, you'll have the haircut styled in just minutes. Who wants to spend a long time in the bathroom in summer? It is also super versatile: the baby wave bob suits every occasion as a messy beach hairstyle, softly wavy as an everyday look, or elegantly styled for the evening.
The key for the baby wave bob is the right cut: the ends should be cut relatively blunt to give the hair fullness and definition. "You need soft, feathery layers around your face that will help create extra volume and even more texture when you wave your hair and style it for summer," advises celebrity stylist Jay Birmingham.
To add some lightness to the look, Jay suggests waving the hair in alternate directions to create that baby wave effect. “When styling around the face, be sure to curl the hair away from the face. It helps create that blow-out effect.” You can then wear your hair in a classic center part, or pull your hair into a deep side part for a cool-girl chic—it shows off the slight waves better.
